There is no battle on the shores of my tongue.
No buds like canons
primed with powder and iron
No flags of war in
Although seen are my words as invading armies.
And I wave the white flag
For I need solace from these daily wars.
I listen for hope in the white noise
but conflict is king in the household of men
without voice
or ears of others
to hear them speak
